Note To Self...

Dear Self,

I can see that you are frustrated with this downsizing bullshit. I know it sucks! You really should have thought twice about some of the purchases you have made over the years...

I hope this will be a lesson to you when you are making future purchases.

Seriously does Lola really need 6 collars, 3 leashes and 12 bandannas?

Are you planning on catering a BIG ASS wedding sometime in the near future? Cuz it appears you have enough stemware to do so!!

You must be the most moisturized person on the planet based on the 8,000 bottles of partially used body lotions under your bathroom sink.

And you could decorate The White House with the amount of Christmas decor you own.

Seriously...

So self... NO MORE impulse buys...K??

L, L & L

P.S. Regarding shoes...

can you please send that letter to me. It's exactly what I need to read every morning when I first get up.

It won't hurt my feelings if you donate the 30+ wine glasses I got you for parties a few years back.
In fact, it will be 2 less boxes I have to carry on Saturday.

Shoes are ALWAYS and exception, don't even go there. Buy more!

Um can you forward that to me every time I am contemplating going to Target? Thanks

This is so me. Way too many sets of china, crystal, cloth napkins, platters and that's just the kitchen. Add to that shoes, handbags, pearls, don't get me started.

You can never have enough stemware, pottery, platters, etc..

Entertaining is awesome and you may just need a lot of stemware to accommodate the crowd.

Right there with you.....I'm pretty sure I have enough knife rests for the White House dinner @ Christmas. love Mom

P.S. I'll probably cut back on shoes before I part with the knife rests...size 6 1/2 for whoever wants dibs when I'm parting with them. M

This is one positive I've found over the years about moving... you really do clean out all the crap you don't need/use!!! It's cleansing for the soul so donate, donate, donate!!!

As the resident of a very small home, I am forced to obsess over every purchase. If something new comes in, something old must go out.

my biggest issue was with nail polish. RIDICULOUS - almost the entire cabinet under my sink was filled with differend shades of red. i was finally cured when i began dental hygiene school last fall - we aren't allowed to paint our fingernails!!! now I have about 2 bottles for toes only. cured!

Yes, she needs that much stuff - Lola, that is. And you can never have too much smelly lotion. ;)

Yes, I'm back but I'm out of the loop - and have lots of catching up to do. I'll email you my address...

Shoes don't count. But, if you happen to disagree, feel free to send some my way.
